Everything about our opening, mailbox transfers, and services on campus.
When does PostalAnnex open?
We're estimated to open in early September 2026, on the 2nd floor of Tresidder Memorial Union (the former Wells Fargo space) — ahead of the U.S. Postal Service location on campus closing in October 2026, so there's no gap in service.
How do I transfer my PO Box?
You have two options:
1Open a private mailbox with PostalAnnex. Visit us in store with two forms of ID and proof of address to sign up. Then submit a Change of Address (COA) online at moversguide.usps.com to forward your mail to your new PostalAnnex private mailbox.
2Transfer your PO Box to a new one at another Post Office.
We recommend starting at least 2–4 weeks before your current PO Box closes to avoid any gap in service.
Do you offer private mailboxes? How is that different from a PO Box?
Yes! Our private mailboxes come with a real street address (not a PO Box number), accept packages from all carriers, and include text/email notifications when a package arrives. We also sign for high-value and sensitive packages on your behalf. Ask us for our mailbox guide for full details.
What is PostalAnnex? Is it the same as the Post Office?
No — PostalAnnex is a privately owned shipping and business services center. Think of us as a one-stop shop for all your shipping, packaging, mailbox, and business needs. We offer many of the same mailing services as USPS, plus a lot more — like accepting packages from every major carrier, packing services, and private mailboxes with a real street address.
What other services do you offer besides shipping?
We're a full-service business center — not just a shipping store. Here's a sample of what we can help with:
Notary Public
Passport Renewals
Faxing (send & receive)
Document Shredding
Brochures & Flyers
Poster Board Printing
Presentation Binding
Copying (B&W / Color)
Livescan / Fingerprinting
Office Supplies
Laminating
Scanning
Which carriers do you accept?
We accept all major carriers: USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Unlike the Post Office, you can handle all your shipping from every carrier in one place.
Can I just drop off prepaid returns or packages with prepaid shipping labels?
Absolutely! Whether it's a return from Amazon, Zappos, or any retailer, or a package with a prepaid shipping label from any carrier — just bring it in and drop it off. We'll sort it by carrier and make sure each one gets picked up and on its way. No waiting in line at the Post Office.
I have something to ship but no box or packing materials. Can you help?
Yes — this is one of our most popular services! Just bring in the item itself and we'll take care of everything: selecting the right box, cushioning, wrapping, and sealing it up securely. Whether it's fragile artwork, electronics, oddly shaped items, or a gift you need shipped out — we handle it all for a fee. No need to buy boxes or tape. Just walk in with your item and walk out knowing it's packed right and on its way.
Can I compare shipping rates between carriers before I send something?
Yes! We can look up rates across USPS, UPS, and FedEx right at the counter so you can compare pricing, delivery speed, and options side by side. We'll help you pick the best value for your shipment.
Do you sell stamps and shipping supplies?
We carry stamps, boxes, envelopes, bubble mailers, packing tape, bubble wrap, and other shipping supplies. If you prefer to pack it yourself, we've got you covered.
Can I ship internationally from here?
Yes! We handle international shipments through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. We can help with customs forms, packaging requirements, and finding the best rate and delivery speed for your destination.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We make it easy to pay however is most convenient for you.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment needed — just walk in! We're here to help with whatever you need.
